In July 2021, Fang Fang faced a significant personal challenge with the diagnosis of stage 4 breast cancer. Her ongoing treatment regimen includes chemotherapy, radiation, and steroids. When Fang Fang started her career in 2014, the stress and overwork from working seven days a week for more than twelve hours a day took a toll on her immune system, contributing to her cancer diagnosis. With intensive research by her family, she began focusing on the wellness of her body, emphasizing healthy nutrition and a fitness program. Instead of relying on drugs to combat the side effects of treatment, Fang Fang chose natural, wholesome food, adopting the belief “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” She also found that exercise helped her recover from each treatment quickly.
A crucial part of her healing journey has been the practice of self-love. By immersing herself in art, music, and other passions, Fang Fang rediscovered her own worth and learned to love herself deeply. This self-love became a cornerstone of her new perspective, allowing her to extend love and compassion to others more freely. It helped her find a new purpose in life, giving her strength and positivity that she passionately shares with those around her. Fang Fang believes that fostering self-love can significantly contribute to the well-being of patients in remission, reducing the likelihood of recurrence by promoting a purposeful and positive life.
These lifestyle changes brought significant improvements: more strength, stamina, better skin, hair growth, and an overall better quality of life. This experience inspired Fang Fang to promote holistic wellness and support other cancer patients in leading a normal life during treatment and prevent recurrence after remission. Driven by her resilience and passion, Fang Fang currently serves as the Chief Advocate of Love Hope Dream Foundation, Inc. to uplift individuals facing cancer, offering hope and comprehensive support throughout their journeys, empowering them with the right information based on scientific studies and outreach programs.
After nearly three years of navigating adversity, Fang Fang now embraces a future filled with love, hope, and dreams, not only for herself but also for others affected by cancer. Her journey underscores a powerful message: nothing is too late, and nothing is impossible.
